Controller and contact

The controller is niio, a digital studio operating in Bratislava, Slovakia. For privacy matters, contact us at hey@niio.sk. The full identification details of the contracting party are provided in the proposal or contract for the relevant project.

Data we process

When you submit a project form, we may process your name, email address, organization, project type, budget, timeframe, and message. File selection is not part of the current form. Formspree may also process technical request data necessary to deliver the submission securely.

Purpose and legal basis

We use the data to receive and answer your enquiry, discuss a proposed project, and prepare an offer. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Where an enquiry is not pre-contractual, processing necessary for ordinary business communication relies on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not use form data for unsolicited marketing.

Recipients and transfers outside the EU

Access is limited to niio team members and providers needed to deliver forms and email. Forms are handled by Formspree, Inc., which hosts its services on AWS infrastructure in the United States and states that it uses EU Standard Contractual Clauses as a transfer safeguard.

Retention

We retain data while handling the enquiry and afterwards only as needed for follow-up communication, legal claims, or a legal obligation. The period depends on whether the enquiry leads to a contract. Formspree submissions follow the retention settings of the account in use and are deleted when they are no longer needed for these purposes.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability where the applicable conditions are met. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Send requests to hey@niio.sk. You may also lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority.

Automated decision-making
